About Me: Training & Qualifications

I have completed 3½ years training at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, P1010545
one of the most well established and respected colleges in the UK (CICM)

I qualified with a BSc (hons) and a LicAc (licence to practice)

I am registered with the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), which is a professional regulatory body.

I recently completed an internship at Chengdu University P1010264of Traditional Chinese Medicine and teaching hospital, in China.

My approach / style

I trained in an integrated style incorporating both the 5 Element and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) styles of acupuncture.

TCM focuses more on physical problems, and the 5 Element style focuses more on the emotions, as well as treating constitutional weaknesses.  Together, an integration of the two styles is effective in adressing physical, mental and emotional issues in an holistic approach.

I believe in working with people to help them with imbalances in their health and wellbeing, and my treatment sessions include lifestyle and dietary advice to help the patient continue with the improvements they experience.

Although acupuncture is a complete therapy in itself, acupuncture is also an excellent adjunct to western medical treatment or other alternative therapies.
